Our 8 wonderful rooms have 2 distinct styles. The older rooms offer period charm and four poster beds, while our more modern rooms feature contemporary design. We have 1 Four-poster suite and 3 Four-poster rooms which are located in the oldest part of the Inn. Our 3 Classic double rooms and 1 single room are located in the later wing of this historic building. Each room is unique, so we can provide you with a detailed description, to help you find the best one for you. We can also help with personalising your stay.

Historic charm
Situated in the oldest part of the inn which dates back to 1441. Nestled beneath the ancient beams, our Four poster rooms are steeped in history, providing a unique and luxurious place to rest your head. Carved oak furniture and roll top baths sit alongside the barley twist four poster beds to transport you back in time during your stay. Wonderful period features are paired with beautifully comfortable King-size beds, dressed in crisp white linen. Soft, fluffy towels and Noble Isle toiletries ensure your stay is relaxing and cosy. All our rooms are ensuite and have a flat screen TV, hairdryer and welcome tray to cater for your every need. Choose from the King’s Suite, Tudor Parlour, Guard’s Room and the Elizabeth Room.

Classic comfort
If you prefer contemporary luxury, our Classic rooms are all decorated with hand picked furnishings and accessories to create individual, sumputous rooms. Rest is assured in our comfortable King-size beds made up with crisp white linen while soft fluffy towels and Noble Isle toiletries are in all our bathrooms. A welcome tray, flat screen TV and hairdryer will be found in all our rooms. Choose from Classic doubles, Pickhurst, Coombe and Lamont or our single room, St. Mary’s.

With our location on the Surrey/Sussex boarder, we are perfectly positioned to offer unique access to some of Surrey and Sussex’s best beauty spots all whilst enjoying the charms of our own picture perfect village. Why not wander off to The Devil’s Punchbowl with it’s breathtaking views, or amble down towards The South Downs taking in the gorgeous small town of Petworth with it’s charming independent shops, or potter around Petworth House and the extensive gardens and deer park.
Beat the crowds and book a weekday escape staying in one of our charming Historic rooms. Explore the surrounding area and return for a cosy dinner in our fireside bar or oak panelled restaurant.
